A Little Background on Hans George Campbell
Hans George Campbell is an interesting figure in the retro computing and gaming communities.
His friends and associates call him the Doom Master or Doomy because he loves the game Doom and creates custom WAD files for it.
Doomy is known for his colorful personality and strong opinions on various topics.
Hans George Campbell previously sold items under the name Retro Geek Computers, also spelled RetroGeek Computers.
We have found no record of Hans George Campbell ever registering or holding a business license under the name Retro Geek Computers. He conducts his business dealings from a garage at the house where he lives in Oregon, which he refers to as "his shop."
In recent years, Hans has also started selling arcade cabinets in the Portland and Beaverton, Oregon, area under the name "Campbell Arcades," so be aware of that as well.
YouTube Social Media Star
Hans has a YouTube channel called The Hans Campbell Show, which covers classic games and retro computers, including Commodore, Amiga, Atari ST, Apple II, Macintosh, and IBM hardware.
Hans previously posted videos instructing viewers on how many times they should chew their food for a healthy lifestyle. Those videos have since been removed from public view.
In November 2020, Hans deleted his Doom World and Jaspur's Realm YouTube channels for reasons unknown.

Commodore Amiga Giveaway - Scam Allegations and Controversy
On October 3, 2019, Hans George Campbell published a YouTube video titled "Win a FREE Commodore Amiga computer," announcing a giveaway involving numerous Commodore Amiga computers.
Hans claimed that a law firm in Portland, Oregon, had given him the computers and that he planned to give them away to lucky viewers. His announcement raised questions among members of the Amiga community regarding the availability of the advertised equipment. According to Hans, the giveaway included the following computers, complete in their original boxes:
12 x A4000's, 19 x A1200's, 8 x A600's and 21 x A3000's. However, he didn't show any pictures of these computers or include them in the video. That's an extraordinary number of Amiga computers to have complete in their original boxes, which raises serious questions about whether he actually had these machines. A few pictures or a video showing all of them could easily clear this up.
The giveaway also prompted a discussion about Hans and his claims in the Commodore Amiga Facebook Group. You must join the group to read the post and comments.
After being called out, Hans made the original video private, but a copy was preserved and is available to watch above.
The Hans George Campbell Business Model Exposed
For years, Hans has posted ads on Craigslist asking people to give him old computers, including Commodore 64, Apple Macintosh, Atari ST, and other classic PC hardware, for free.
He almost never pays money for these items because, in his own words, he "wants to make videos to inform the world" of his vast knowledge. People give him computers based on the story he tells them.
According to Hans, he needs donations of vintage computer hardware and software to record a three-hour movie that will be shown on Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) and other television stations around the world.
Multiple individuals have contacted Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) to inquire about Hans George Campbell and his proposed documentary. According to those individuals, OPB representatives stated they had no knowledge of him or the project. Hans has reportedly been making claims about this proposed documentary to prospective donors since at least 2008.
Hans has reportedly obtained donated computers and software that were subsequently resold on Craigslist or eBay. Do yourself a favor and donate them to Goodwill instead, where you may qualify for a tax deduction.
Sellers, don't let Hans lowball you, and whatever you do, don't donate or give him free vintage computers, Lesney Matchbox, or Hot Wheels cars. Hans has a documented history of obtaining items for free and subsequently reselling them on Craigslist or eBay.
