Possible Hans George Campbell YouTube Scam For Amiga Computers

On October 3, 2019 Hans tried pulling a Win a FREE Commodore Amiga computer scam on one of his YouTube channels. In this video Hans claimed to have the following Amiga computers complete in box to give away that were given to him by a law firm in Portland, Oregon:

12 x A4000's, 19 x A1200's, 8 x A600's and 21 x A3000's but doesn't show any pictures or include them in the video. Seems fishy. It's highly unlikely that he has these machines.

There is currently a discussion going on about Hans and this video in the Commodore Amiga Facebook Group. You have to join the group to read the post and comments.

After being called out, Hans made the video private, but not before being archived. If you want a MP4 of the video, send a message and we can provide it to you.

The Hans George Campbell Business Model Exposed

For years Hans has been posting ads on Craigslist asking people to give him old computers like the Commodore 64, C64, Apple Macintosh, Atari ST and other classic PC computers for free.

He almost never pays money for these items because in his own words "wants to make videos to inform the world" of his vast knowledge, so people give him these computers based on this story he tells.

According to Hans he needs your vintage computer hardware and software donations to record a 3-hour movie that will be shown on OPB and on other TV stations around the world.

Oregon Public Broadcasting has never heard of Hans and he's been making this claim since at least 2008 (18+ years) if not longer in his communications to prospective donors.

The truth of the matter is Hans will just sell the computers and software on Craigslist or even eBay, so do yourself a favor and just donate them to Goodwill and get a tax donation credit.
